She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Schreffler and Helen Schreffler. She is survived by: her husband Paul William Thurston; her sons, Paul William Thurston, Jr. (Tracy) of Greenwich and Michael Thurston (Anne) of Bel Air, Maryland; her sisters, Kathleen Turgeon (Richard) of Buzzards Bay, Arleen Parker (Danny) of Fort Myers and Lorraine Callahan (Dan) of Norton, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Paul III, Andrew, Alex, Sam, Megan, Rebecca, Emma and Joseph; and her great grandchild Fiver.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Nalcrest Community Center. The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
