He was predeceased by : his father John G. McVey; his wife Karen; and his siblings, Vic McVey, Phil McVey and Sue Smoak.

He is survived by : his son Corey McVey (Michelle); his grandchildren, Bailen McVey, Blaine McVey, Tyler Parkinson and Shylah Parkinson; and his siblings, Danny McVey (Kathy), Chris McVey (Karen) and Jackie Moon.
