He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Brekelbaum and Erwin Brekelbaum. He is survived by: his sons, Edward and Jeffrey; his siblings, Gertrude Brekelbaum, Barbara Siepker and John "Rick" Brekelbaum; and his grandchildren, Hans, Brady, Christopher and Leilani Brekelbaum. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces/nephews.
