Lorna Bryan lit a candle

“I distort Kipling's words to say Dr Glenell Smith walked with Kings without losing the common touch. Dapper, debonair and a good dancer, he combined dignity, style, intellect, wisdom, fun and Godliness in ways that made it easy to confide in him and a sobering, refreshing pleasure to be in his company. Empowering, strong, confident yet humble, Glennell will always be dearly loved and deeply missed. May we find comfort in the legacy of his example and may he Rest in Serene Peace. Amen.”

Martin Platt wrote a sympathy message

“May we all experience God to be our source of strength, and receive his peace as we empathize with one another. Uncle Glen was inspirational to be around, and has left his mark in history. A man of great achievement, yet he never forgot his people. We have lost yet another giant of that generation, When we think of him let us remember the scripture: Rom 8:28 ' and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.'”

“It is with great sadness that I write this tribute. Uncle Glen was such a pleasant person. We nieces labeled him the “ fun” Uncle. He had the most beautiful smile that could light up a room. We had such good times whenever, I visited Canada. I spoke with him roughly 7 weeks ago. I miss him deeply. Rest In Peace dear uncle, we’ll meet again❤️❤️”

Sharon Platt-McDonald wrote a sympathy message

“We are heartbroken over the passing of our wonderful and much loved Uncle Glenn. There are so many fond memories of Him. His gentle, winsome, kind and peaceful manner, was a joy to experience. Family reunions were treasured times spent with him. In spite of his medical accomplishments, he carried his achievements humbly. He blessed so many lives. We shared many deep discussions and life reflections. He is greatly missed. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory. Niece (Sharon)”
