It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David L. Metzker (Mount Dora, Florida), born in Findlay, Ohio, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Metzker and Caroline Metzker; and his sister Carol Mae King. He is survived by: his wife Janet Metzker (Ede); his children, Richard Metzker (Karen), Michael Metzker (Nicole) and Michelle Canapino (Jon); his grandchildren, Lauren Bodziony (Andrew), Emily Zahn (Alex), Rebecca Metzker, Jacob Metzker, Julia Metzker and Allison Canapino; and his great grandchild Jude Bodziony. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“Geeze what a neat guy. I have to admit I say that because Dave and I shared many of the same interests - golf, the beach, college sports especially football, travel, and most of all - married to college roommates. Quiet, intelligent, and accomplished are three descriptors that first come to mind when I think of David. There are so many more. To his wife Jan and kids Richard, Mike, and Shellie and their families, Mary Alice and I send the most sincerest of condolences. He's already missed.”
