He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald George and Nettie Elizabeth Dyess Emig; and his sister-in-law Debbie Emig. He is survived by: his son Russell (Victoria); his grandson Forrest; and his siblings, Julie Anne (Vicki), Larry Eugene (Lisa) and Kevin Edward. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
