She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Isom, Sr. and Pearl Thomas Isom; her husband Dan Smith, Sr.; her daughter Dora Hogan; her grandson John Hogan, Jr.; and her siblings, Henry, Ninous Isom, Josephine Isom, Geneva Thomas, Ruth Murray and Bernice Isom.
She is survived by: her children, Roberta Spencer, Marian Smith, Dan Smith, Jr. (De'Borah) and James Smith, Sr.; her grandchildren, Michael Hogan, Marona Smith, Tamika Caine, Doralicia Griffin (Demetris), Salandra Moore, Dan Smith (Cynthia), Christopher Smith (Kari), Alexis Jenkins, Nycki Thompson (James), Teri of Dallas, TX and Jermaine Mack (Tomeka); her sisters, Pearlese Houston of Bradenton, FL. and Ophelia Bailey of Palmetto, FL; and her godchildren, Dr. M. J. Halyard, Melenease Wilcox and Cathy Hollis. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
