He is survived by: his mother Shirley Phillips (Gene); his wife Tammy; his children, Josh Godwin (Kaly), Deddrick Perry, Valarie Barnes (Travis), Kayla Godwin, Jordan Godwin and Aaron Godwin; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Bray, Rhett Godwin, Lexi, Payton, Annalyse Barnes, Milah, Lainee Johnson, Brightleigh Perry, Destiny and Kylie Godwin; and his siblings, John Godwin (Kim), Charlie Phillips (Kelly), Henry Joe Godwin, Jamie Phillips (Sarah) and Kathy Briske (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
