She was predeceased by: her mother Blanche Cannon; her husband Charles "Chunky" Ellis; her son Gary; her siblings, Ann Fillingim and George Ernest Cannon; her mother-in-law Mazzie Ellis; and her daughter-in-law Lori Lassiter Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Godwin (Keith) and Chuck Ellis (Vinera); her siblings, James Cannon (Audrey) and Sharon Croom (Ladon); her grandchildren, Ryan Godwin (Tara), Shane Ellis (Jennie), Cody Ellis (Ananda), Daniel Godwin (Isabel), Andrea Dickens (Kenneth), Hannah Ellis (Colby Burkett) and Darina Slivinschii (Dan); and her parents-in-law, James Ellis (Neva) and Joyce Ellis. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, and her church family.
