“This week I lost a friend who was very dear to me for 50+ years. He touched my heart, sometimes made me laugh and I was very proud of David for his numerous accomplishments. He loved his dogs and they were a big part of his life. Now he can run free with his beloved Catahoula Leopard dogs. There is no pain in heaven. I want to express my condolences to David's daughter, Emily, her mother Kathy, his sisters Mary and Ruthie and the rest of his family and dear friends. God bless you all.”

“David and I would have been married for 50 years last March 6. Although our marriage did not survive, our friendship remained. Early in our marriage David and I both attended UGA. He earned his PhD in analytical chemistry. I was so proud when he dedicated his doctoral thesis to me. I always admired his love for animals. We had 2 cats, Daffy and Lucky. Later in life he raised Catahoula Leopard dogs. David, you'll always be in my heart. My condolences to Emily, Kathy, Mary ,Ruthie and family.”
