We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2023, at the age of 86, Elizabeth G. Abita of Minneola, Florida, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gorton and Violet Gorton (Peat); her husband Albert James Abita; her significant other William Ives; and her siblings, Robert Gorton, Lillian Eckstrom, Verna Mitchell and William Gorton.
She is survived by: her caregiver Betty; her daughters, Paulette Brown (Richard), Christina Chiarella (Vito), Laura Abita-Kleinberg (Steven) and Catherine Infantino; her grandchildren, Kelly Roma (Anthony), Richard Brown Jr., Ryan Brown, Nicole Michalek (Dan), Lisa Wiss (Alain) and Dylan Infantino; and her great grandchildren, Rocco Roma, Parker Dyson Brown, Giovanni Roma, Danny Michalek, Nicklas Crosby and Cecelia Michalek.
