She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Vaughan and Mary Emma Whitman Vaughan; her siblings, Donald Vaughan, Byron Vaughan, Geraldine Stephens and Mary Nell Thompson; and her spouse SGT Jimmie Howard Gilreath.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly F. Langham and Lesa S. Hopkins; and her grandchildren, Heather L. Bailey, Heath Blaine Price, Brian O. Banter, Alicia Mitchell and Jessica Bullard. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
