It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Whitaker Carothers (Milton, Florida), who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raymond Whitaker and Lillian Harrison Whitaker; her husband William Hamilton Carothers; her children, Carolyn Prince, William Hewlett Carothers, Kanda Carothers Reynolds of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Raymond Carothers of Shalimar, FL and John Carothers (Rebecca) of Milton, FL; and her grandsons, William Hamilton Carothers of Jacksonville, FL and Nicholas Strahan Carothers of Milton, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Joan be sent to Pruitt Health Care Resident Activities at 5530 Northrop Rd., Milton, FL 32570.
