The passing of Jenese Catherine of Milton, Florida leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 20, 2025 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marlan Kenneth Truelsen; her parents, E. Dale Miller and Helen Miller; her brothers, Lloyd, John and James Miller; her in-laws, Kenneth and Lena Truelsen; her sisters-in-law, Carol Miller, Lavonne Miller and Harriette Laws; and her sons-in-law, Jim Smirniotis and Mark Hood.
She is survived by: her children, Jenet Hattaway (Joe) of Pace, Florida, Melinda Truelsen (David Brown) of Siler City and Cindy Hood of Fernandina Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, David Hattaway (Peanut), Laura Hattaway (Trevor Thomas), Timothy Smirniotis (Erin), Patricia Jackson (Stanley) and Dustin Hood (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Carter and Paislee Smirniotis; her sisters, Anna Belle Hinz, Bonnie Riggert (Al), Ruth Miller and Mary Petersen; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Joens (Robert), Linda Miller and Lonnie Laws. She is also survived by many loving family members, including her three daughters.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home (704 Grand Ave, Emmetsburg, IA 50536). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Powhatan Cemetery.
