He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmack Jowers and Nova Jowers. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Mary Catherine Williams of Pensacola; his sons, Ronald (Fran) of Novi, Richard (Vaiden) of Fillmore and James Michael of Pensacola, Florida.; and his grandsons, Daniel and Justin (Heather) of Oxnard. He is also survived by the third child of eight siblings.

For those wishing to honor Jim's life, the family request that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Jim's Soul Warrior's Group at First Baptist Milton.
