It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Robert Turner in Milton, Florida, born in Virginia, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Turner and Virginia Turner (Reynolds); and his sister Kay Schramm. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Love; his children, Steve Turner (Janet) of Virginia, Rich Turner of Virginia and Jody Ennis (Samuel) of Florida; his grandchildren, Derek Turner (Kia) of Germany, Alex Turner (Kelli) of Chandlerville, Kelsi Pherigo (Adam) of Chandlerville, Kobe Turner (Allyson) of Ashland, Josh Newman (Angie) of Kentucky, Kayla Weaver of South Carolina, Trent Ennis of Florida and Keegan Ennis of Florida; and his brothers, Rick Cox (Beth) of Virginia and Mike Cox (Jeannie) of Virginia.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (102 S Cass St, Virginia, IL 62691). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
