He is survived by: his wife Pat Hayes; his brother Melvin Hayes; his children, Tyler Hayes (Cherie Hayes) and Michelle Pensa (Robert Pensa); his grandchildren, Brent Hayes, Hannah Hayes, Rachel Pearson (Nathan Pearson), Michael Pensa (Kristin Pensa) and Leah Pensa; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Pensa, Charlotte Pensa and Isaac Pensa.
