She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Lucille Motes Nolan and Homer John Custead, Sr.; her brother Homer "Buddy" Custead Jr.; and her stepdaughter Pamela Christopher Chambers. She is survived by: her husband Billy Hugh Christopher; her daughter Melinda June Gonzalez (Mike); her grandson Brandon Tyler Houston; her stepson Jon Christopher (Caren); her stepgrandson Jackson; and her siblings, Patricia Custead, Rebecca Diaz (Victor), Roslyn Nolan and Richard Custead (Laura).
