It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Lynn Cornelius Klais of Middleburg, Florida, who passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Jefferson Klais; and her siblings, Connie Buchanan and William "Bill" Cornelius Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Joyce Klais Nixon of Fleming Island and John Jefferson "Jeff" Klais Jr. (Cindy) of Round Rock, Texas.; her grandchildren, Brayden Alexander Nixon (Ashley) of Keystone Heights and Savannah Joel Nixon Howard (Matt) of Jacksonville, Florida; her great grandchildren, Madilynn Skye, Eleanor Rose, Avery Quinn, Xander Matthew, Grant Kip and Gracie Joyce; her sisters, Marion Bertaut of Thibodaux, Ellen Thomas of Slidell, Debbie Kimbrough of Pasadena and Dotsy Cook of Slidell, Louisiana; and her sister-in-law Robin Cornelius of Mexia, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
