He was predeceased by: his father Lester; and his brothers, James Willis, Jackie Willis and Joe Willis. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" Willis; his daughters, Brenda Johns and Teresa Fitzpatrick; his siblings, Tommy Willis, Ed Willis, Estelle Peek, Kaye Dortch and Faye Dortch; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Mark, Liam, Ceili, Ashleigh and Marlee; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Cora and Rhett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Johnny's memory to Long Branch Baptist Church, 5500 Long Branch Cemetery Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32234.
