He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDonald and Edna McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Sara Beth Barnes McDonald; his daughter Deborah McDonald; his granddaughter DeAnn Huff; his great grandchildren, Sophie and Emberlee Huff; his sister Sandra Wilson; and his friend Millie Wilkes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middleburg United Methodist Church.
