It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Johnson Benton (Micanopy, Florida), who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd W. Johnson Sr. and Eddie Lee Batts-Johnson; her husband Arthur Benton; and her siblings, Ruby Johnson-Johnson, Gladys Johnson-Jones, Lloyd W. Johnson Jr., Viola Johnson-Floyd, Robert L. Johnson and Ollie Johnson-Sellers.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Benton-Copelin (Cecil); her grandchildren, Brenton C. Copelin, Arthur Threats, Jr. (Ava), Asia Threats, Moria Bowman, Matthew Bowman III, Ryan Threats and Margaret Bowman; her great grandchild Arthur Threats III; her sisters-in-law, Ruby Benton-Lee, Lucille Benton and Victoria Haynes-Johnson; and her godson Gerald Mingo. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and bereaved friends.
