He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Dufek and Phyllis Dufek (Carriveau); his brothers, Lee and Thomas; his nephews, Richard Borkovec and Michael Lindstrom; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph and Josephine DiBenedetto.

He is survived by: his wife Josephine Dufek; his children, Michael (Miam), Theresa Hooper (William), Ann Dufek (Stephen Hernan) and Matthew (Joanie); his grandchildren, Kaleb Kelly, Nyah, Aviah Dufek, Alyssa, Austin Hooper, Joseph, Nicolas Hernan and Anna McClean; and his siblings, Carol Borkovec (Roger), Donna Rider (Craig), Kathy Lindstrom (Leonard) and Charlie Dufek (Lori).
