With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Amazonina DaCosta (Miami, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Amazonina may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She is survived by: her children, Roy, Filomena, Kathlyn and Albert; and her grandchildren, Andrew, Kristen, Jacob, Austin and Brody. She is also survived by her five siblings.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Van Orsdel Funeral & Cremation Services (11220 N Kendall Dr, Miami, FL 33176). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at the Van Orsdel Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Flagler Memorial Park (5301 W Flagler St, Miami, FL 33134).
