Lee Greene Obituary
On Saturday, May 21, 2022, Arnold Lee Greene, loving brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 81. Lee was born on December 23, 1940, in Jacksonville, Florida to Joseph Talmadge Greene and Esther Lucille Harris Greene. An athlete all his life, Lee was a member of his high school football and track teams and lettered in both sports. After high school, he attended the University of Miami. Lee also served in the United States Army where he served in Germany on a Nike missile base and also played on their baseball team. After his service, Lee worked as a computer systems analyst for Eastern Airlines, General Development, John Alden, and American Bankers Insurance Group where he would later retire.
Lee had a passion for sports of all kinds and would almost always be seen wearing a Miami Dolphins hat. He was a hometown fan of the Dolphins, Marlins, and Heat. Throughout his life, he always jogged and later developed a passion for tennis which he would play several times a week with his good friends from American Bankers.
While he never married, he was able to step in as a surrogate father figure for his nieces Kimberly, Jennifer, and Kathryn after their father passed at an early age. He was also a devoted son to his mother Esther and brother to his sister Joy.
He is survived by his sister, Joy, his nieces, and great nieces and nephews. His friends and family will miss him very much.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 25th at Vista Memorial Gardens located at 14200 NW 57th Avenue in Miami Lakes, FL. Viewing will be held from 10:30am-12:30 pm followed by a service at 12:30 pm.
