It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elias Nicholas Ede of Miami Shores, Florida, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Ede and Natalie Ede. He is survived by: his children, Louie and Ernestine; his wife Ernestine Sayfie Ede; his children, Denise Ede Aloise, Diane Ede-Nichols, David E. Ede (Laura) and Douglas E. Ede; his grandsons, Domenic Aloise (Shannon), Christopher Aloise, Jonathan Nichols, David Ede, Jr., Christian Ede and Gregory Ede (Olivia); his children, Jordan Ede, Alec Ede, Matthew Ede and Noah Ede; his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Juliana Aloise, Elias and Elise Aloise; his sister Carolyn Nashawaty; his siblings-in-law, Judy S. Sayfie, Suzie M. Sayfie and Russell Bassett (Helene); and his godchildren, Kenneth Ede and Dana Bassett. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Coral Gables or to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Elias N. Ede.
