He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lilluard Terry and Luella Terry; his siblings, Ennis, William and Richard; his daughters, Michelle (Anthony) and Merian (Penny); his wife Helen Mayhue Terry; his son James Jr. (Margy); his grandchildren, Mica Terry (Humberto), Mikaela and Jamarr; his great grandchild Mason; and his sisters, Helen (Sampson), Shirley (Winston), Christine (Vincent) and Debra (Jasper). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, parishioners, and friends.
After being officially ordained in 1985 by his spiritual mentor, Elder William Martin, Rev. James L. Terry, Sr. began fulfilling the vision that God gave him by establishing Christian Life Foundation Ministries, Inc. in Miami, FL.
