He was predeceased by: his wife Clearine; his mother Blanche Gleason; and his siblings, Jean, Jenny, Linwood and Bill.

He is survived by: his son Vernon L Gleason (Lon); his grandson Matthew (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Miles, Parker and Asher; his grandchild Mallory (Micah); his great grandchildren, Cyrus and Etta; and his sister-in-law Helen Hoover. He is also survived by many friends, neighbors, caregivers and his church family.
