She was predeceased by: her father Thomas Edward Giardini; and her son Wendall William Nettles III. She is survived by: her mother Linda Carol Giardini; her husband William S. Nivison III; her sons, Dustin James Wiggins and Dillion Greggory Wiggins; and her sister Lynda Sue Giardini.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization Shannon felt strongly to continue to support.
