It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Rhynes Wallace of Merritt Island, Florida, born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, May Davis Rhynes and Mamie Catherine Lee Rhynes; and her husband James Pershing "J. P." Wallace. She is survived by: her children, Anne Lynch of St. Augustine, Edy Barton of Brooksville, Larry Wallace of Boulder and David. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
