With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James McNairn Mitton of Merritt Island, Florida, born in Moncton, New Brunswick, who passed away on May 17, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Harriet Mitton of Merritt Island; his brother Henry Mitton; his parents, Margaret Mitton, of Miami and Henry Mitton, Sr. of Miami; and his grandchildren, Selena J. Petross of Ocean Springs and Justin Hamilton of Merritt Island.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Mitton Hellweg (Steve Hellweg) of Mims, Sara Key of Merritt Island and Diana Fasanella of Merritt Island; his grandchildren, Amy Pastore Colletti (Robert Colletti) of Palm Bay and Dr. Dominic James Pastore (Jackie Pastore) of Rockledge; and his close friend Marie Burgio of Merritt Island. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of St. Francis' Edward M. Poe Care Center in Titusville or the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
