He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Beers and Delores Beers of Crescent City; his brother-in-law Jim McLain; and his nephew Robbie. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Melissa (Jason) and David Jr. (Kris) of Viera, FL.; his grandchildren, Christopher, Daniella, Alessia and Owen Colwell; and his siblings, Marguerite McLain of Seville and James Beers (Phyllis) of Mt. Olive, N. C. He is also survived by 28 loving nieces and nephews and many extended family & friends.
