Betty Isley Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Isley of Merritt Island, Florida, born in Piedmont, South Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskell Jefferson and Frances Pearl Durham Black of Pelzer; her spouse Lee Roy Wood; and her former husband Ernest A. Isley, Jr. of Burlington, NC.. She is survived by: her sister Diane Black Newell of Easley; her close friend Westie; and her nieces and nephews, Elaine Wood Elrod of Piedmont, Bob Wood of Pelzer and Deena Allison of Pelzer. She is also survived by three daughters; three stepchildren; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Due to the pandemic, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fountain Inn Senior Center, 610 Fairview Street, Fountain Inn, SC 29644 or your favorite charity.
