“I'm sorry this is so late. I am certain this obituary is for Navy Chief Petty Officer Mark Metz. Chief Metz was my division CPO when I arrived in Yokosuka Japan in January of 1984. Chief Metz was an outstanding man to serve under. He loved to hold training sessions for his troops and help prepare you for advancement exams. I scored in the top percentile when I tested for both 3rd class and 2nd class petty officer thanks to him. Alan Staton”
