With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Carolyn Young of Melrose, Florida, born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on April 17, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Teddy Roosevelt and Margaret Philbeck (Huskey). She is survived by: her spouse Baxter Young, Sr.; her children, Baxter H. Young, Jr., Lynn Callaway (David) of Knoxville, Sandra Florer of Starke and Gary Young (Michelle) of Rockhill; and her brother Reverend Travis Norman Philbeck of Gaffney. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
