He is survived by: his wife Frances Childers; his children, Jason Childers, Jessica Dunlap, Michele Cole and Richard Kovach, Jr.; his grandchildren, Joe Kovach, Jacob Dunlap, Jeremy Kovach, Rebecca Cole, Vanessa Cole, Malachi Kovach and Micah Kovach; and his great grandchild Salem Kovach.
