He was predeceased by: his brother Ronald; his sister-in-law Nancy; and his parents, Alice and William. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Sandra Gates (Jim), Mark Wayne (Rubie), Patrick Wayne and Brian Wayne (Melissa); his grandchildren, Tiffany, Makayla, Jazlyn, Colt, Shawna, Paula and Jessy; and his great grandchildren, Devon, Caden, Ethan and Anastasia. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of sending flowers, donate to Health First Hospice of Brevard.
