He is survived by: his wife Arleen; his daughter Tracy Elkins (Austin); his grandson Logan; his siblings, Dean Russell McQuiston (Brenda) and Charlotte Gayle Sluder (Bill); and his aunt Sadie Gaye Hedgecock (Hub). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to COVID-19, his wishes were that a memorial service be held at a future date.
