He was predeceased by: his father Nicholas John Kateb Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Kelly; his children, Stephanie and Korrin; his mother Janet Schill [Larry]; his stepmother Claire; his brother Marc [LeeAnn]; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Abi and Alex. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Palm Bay Firefighters Community Benevolent and Health First's Hospice Program in John's memory.
