Myron Frederic Clemons Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Myron (Rick) Frederic Clemons, 74, of Sebastian, Florida on Saturday, January 02, 2021, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
Rick was born April 11, 1946, in Lake Wales, Florida to Myron H. and Margaret (Stokes) Clemons. Rick attended Florida State University and then joined the United States Army to serve the country he loved. He was assigned to Merrell Barracks in Nuremburg, Germany where he served for 10 years. Upon returning to the United States, Rick joined the Florida Army National Guard out of Lake Wales, Florida and accepted a job position as a Vero Beach Police Officer in Vero Beach, Florida. Shortly after, he purchased a home in Sebastian, Florida. He also received his real estate license and was employed as a realtor for ERA Real Estate Company out of Sebastian, Florida. In 1990, Rick was deployed with the Florida National Guard to the Middle East for the Gulf War. When he returned, he became employed with the Polk County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He was promoted to Homicide Detective and then retired as a Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of the Vero Beach and Coastal Benevolent Associations. He was actively involved with the Daisy Scouts, Brownie Scouts, and Boy Scouts which he was an Eagle Scout. He was a member and Sunday School teacher of Cornerstone Baptist Fellowship of Sebastian, Florida. Hobbies he enjoyed were photography, collecting rare items and traveling as often as he could.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Christine Clemons; his daughter Elaine Wolking (Tyler) of Merritt Island, his sons Samuel, and Chris Clemons of Sebastian; his stepdaughter Crystal Sawyer-Brown of New York; his granddaughter Kandis Plotner of Merritt Island; his dog Otis; his sisters, Carol Valentine of Lake Wales, Jeanette Nelson (Vic) of Auburndale, and his brothers Randy Clemons (Shelley) and David Clemons (Cathy) of Lake Wales, Florida. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who all held a special place in his heart.
Visitation will be held Wednesday January 13, 2021, at 10 A.M. followed by Services at 11 A.M. officiated by Rev. Russell T. Moore at Cornerstone Baptist Fellowship of Sebastian located:

Interment will take place Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with Military Honors
