With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Sue Ellis of Melbourne, Florida, born in Alachua, Florida, who passed away on July 3, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Alexander and Daisy Edwards Doke; her husband Chester Ellis; and her sisters, Hazel McLean, Sybil Shipp, Nell Dukes and Joyce Riherd.

She is survived by: her children, Byron Ellis, Martha Sue Cochran and Karen Rhodes; and her siblings, Claire Ellington and Kent Doke.
