He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mirta Calderon; and his children, Jackie Rosa, Melissa Caldwell, Jose Calderon, Rafael Calderon and Luis Calderon, Jr.. He was also cherished by fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
