He is survived by: his parents, Glinda Gail Mims (Hanewacker) and Charles Robert Mims; his grandmother Elise Maples Hanewacker; his children, Laraih Shumate Mims and Lawson Charles Mims; his brother-in-law Ryan Reid; and his niece Shannon Reid.
