It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert McCabe of Melbourne, Florida, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Patricia Gercken; and his parents, Estelle McCabe Toennies and John J. McCabe. He is survived by: his wife Rita Ann Hoog McCabe; his children, Michelle Ann McCabe Sims (David) and John Robert McCabe II (Lora); his grandchildren, Ryan Sims (Susan), Joshua Sims (Jordan), Marissa McCabe, Nicole Kraai and Joshua Kindred; and his sister Kathleen Taylor. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; twelve nephews and eight nieces.
