It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Maier of Melbourne, Florida, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; and his daughters, Marjorie and Louanne. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL or Presbyterian Church of the Good Shepard in Melbourne, FL.

“If you were lucky enough to know Eugene(my grandpa), you'd know he was an exceptional man. He had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold.. Even though he is no longer with us, his memory,spirit,and legacy lives on through his family and friends. Eugene and Margaret (my grandmother) are the definition of true love,having been together over 70 years! Eugene could light up any room with his infectious smile. My heart is forever broken. I love and miss you grandpa. Rest in peace.”
