He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. Casoria and Dorothy Casoria (Schoeps); and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his wife Janis Casoria (Smithmyer); his sister Carol Weatherford (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, Gary, Elaine Smithmyer, Bill and Elaine Henninger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He received numerous awards from charities, including as a Board member of United Cerebral Palsy, as President of Orange County Seniors First/Meals on Wheels, as Chair of both the Seniors Resource Alliance and of the Seniors First Foundation.
