He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Hawkinson and Hazel Hawkinson; his brothers, Dick and Jerry Hawkinson; and his granddaughter Tara Hawkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth; his children, Tricia Hawkinson, Mike Hawkinson, Ken Hawkinson (Ann Marie), Cathy Schwanke (Paul) and Russ Hawkinson (Cheryl); and his stepchildren, Gerlinda, Ron and David Carmack. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
