He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Ray; his friends, Lockheed, Morton Thiokol and During; his children, Jayne Hurd and Clark Hurd; his stepson David Velez; his grandson Matthew Merrill; his wife Sheila E. Hurd; his daughters, Lu Moore (Mike) and Ellen Hubbard (Ken); and his stepdaughter Jane Velez. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
