It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Edward Long (Melbourne, Florida), born in Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Long and Dorothy Long; his former wife Barbara Long; his siblings, Floyd Long, Bill Long, Freddie Long, Shirley Arrowood and Annie Long; and his grandson Dustin Nale.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Barberree Long of Melbourne; his children, Debbie Nale (Terry) of Dyersburg, TN., Christopher Long of Melbourne and Gregory Long (Elizabeth) of Vero Beach; his grandchildren, Kelly Nale, Jesse Long, Mikayla Long and Austin Long; his great grandchild Braelynn Long; and his siblings, Charlotte Hicks, Leroy Long and Gary Long. He is also survived by friends from church, friends from his ROMEO Club, and new friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Promise in Brevard.
