She was predeceased by: her husbands, Thomas B. "Nick" Carter and Paul Quillen. She is survived by: her children, Sandye Garrett (Lee) and Jimmie Carter (Dusty); her grandchildren, Charles, Cheri, Christopher Carter and Ronald Toenes, Jr.; her aunt Audrey; and her niece Linda Burke O'Kelly. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Melbourne.
